Individual plans are available with or without maternity and prescription benefits. Also with the HSA or more traditional plans you are familiar with. The Health Savings Account (HSA) Plan is available in the State of Florida. You have your choice of deductible and co-insurance levels. If your health is generally good, you might want to consider a higher deductible to save on premium cost. Then add a Co-Pay for the Dr.s office visits. Keeping the overall cost down, yet still having access with a Co-Pay to the Dr.

Contact us for an appointment to meet with you and go over the options available for your employee’s. Having employees at several locations is not a problem.

Health Savings Account

Health Savings Accounts have many options that appeal to both the individual / employee and the employer. They are especially attractive to individuals that are healthy.  One may compare them to an IRA or Roth IRA for tax purposes. All benefits are available, there is no loss of any benefits by utilizing a HSA.

The appeal of the HSA begins with the LOWER premiums paid with  pretax money.

From the premium, a portion goes into a Savings account. The individual has a check book for access to the funds. This account receives interest, growing tax free. As any health related bill is acquired, it is paid from the savings account, on a tax free basis. This goes towards the deductible.

There is generally a higher deductible with a HSA. However, if you are healthy, your medical needs are minimal, and the money continues to grow at Tax Free interest. There are some benefits paid at 100% before the deductible. Over a short time, you will have more than the deductible in the account. Then to cover the deductible cost in not a major concern.

Reaching the age of 59 & 1/2. you can access all of the funds with out the 10% penalty, like an IRA, or let them stay in the account. Now that you are older, the chances have increased that you will have some medical needs. That account is all yours to use, tax free, for any medical related expenses.
